Athletic Edge is a Brisbane-based personal training business run by Alison Jones.

One good client can be worth a lot to a personal trainer, but the challenge is often generating interest from prospective clients. In other words, generating sales leads.

  • The Athletic Edge website generates at least one new client per week – predictably, automatically and at very low cost.
  • One new client per week equals 50 new clients per year – a full schedule for a personal trainer. The owner predicts that her new website will allow her to “double her sales over the next year”. [Update Jan 2006: Client reports that her sales have in fact tripled]
  • Now the business owner spends more time doing what she loves to do – training her clients – and less time marketing.

“Personal Training is a difficult business to market. Although referrals are a great way to build a client base, it is slow and takes a large base to make it profitable. Direct marketing in the form of letter box drops has been less than successful, costly and time consuming.

With more people buying products online I decided this may be a way to promote my business and to increase my client base, and therefore sales.

I found Will’s company while surfing the net for marketing ideas, tips and information. His newsletters were of great help and his product guarantee took away all the risk. After talking with Will about my business we decided his product would produce the desired result of more calls to my business and thus more sales.
